Words and Pictures

One of the things I like to photograph are scenes that say something without having to say it in words. I also look for humor. Obviously I can’t see it when viewers smile or laugh about a photograph, but I can imagine that if something makes me react, others will too.

This scene was captured at the annual temple fair at Ditan Park in Beijing. This boy, wearing a combination of Chinese military uniform and Groucho Marx face gear helped me to realize there are still a few real marxists left in China.
